We are looking for a lovely person centred PA to join our team for shorter team cover. It’s a great role with varied tasks - domestic chores, meal prep or cooking, admin, emails/social media, telephone, watering plants in the summer. Being an artistic and practical soul we may need you to help with sewing, sorting or occasional decorating. Any personal care is non-intimate and there is no lifting except for the occasional plant or parcel!, We look for professional, person-centred Personal Assistants who are kind, capable and have an awareness of disability issues including positive language concerning mental health. I’m a housebound artist with severe ME and balance problems living in the North Laine, Brighton, who loves art, gardening/plants, watching road cycling, family history, clothes, documentaries and books. As a guide I usually work with 3 hour morning shifts after 10-10:30 am, but if your availability is different just let me know., My symptoms include pain and severe fatigue so you need to be good at listening and taking cues on how to complete tasks, I have cognition problems where the PA needs to show patience and good interpersonal skills, and immune problems so you need to be in good health and be aware of covid/flu protocols (and okay with PPE especially if working closely together)., My weekday rate of pay is:, Self-employed: after April the 8th £13.50/hr. Must have up to date Personal Care Assistant Insurance from start of working, proof of ability to work in the UK and confirmation of Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR). This is not a cash in hand role., Employee: after April the 8th £11.70 plus holiday payment on top.
